On 28th November 2019, we look forward to celebrating the amazing contribution that our volunteers from Age UK Northumberland make to help older people living in the county.

We are so proud of our 130 volunteers who on a daily basis, donate their time to help olderpeople in the comunity live better.

Our volunteers get involved in advising on our Information and Advice Line, Advocacy, Befriending, Day Services, Admin and Reception, Marketing, HR, Gardening, DIY and Strategic Development and all play a key role in driving the impact of our charity.

Susan Chrisp, Volunteer Co-ordinator says: “My role at Age UK Northumberland is an absolute pleasure, I am always astounded by the number of people who want to help in any way that they can and who are prepared to give up their free time to do so. I'm excited to celebrate the achievements of our volunteers and I would like to thank everyone for the priceless contribution over the last year.”

Recruitment of new volunteers is part of Susan’s role within the organisation and she is always looking for new volunteers to run the increasing number of services that the charity provides.
