This is for people in Richmond who are 50 and over and have a moderate to severe or enduring mental health condition ensuring that older people in Richmond can access practical and emotional peer support that helps them to live well.

If accepted for the Age UK Richmond Mental Health Peer Support service, you can expect:

- Contact from a peer support worker to arrange an appointment to meet in-person or by phone/videocall, depending on your preference.

- A guided conversation with them, to help us understand what matters to you.

- Access to one-to-one peer support and access to group peer support for up to 6 weeks.

The peer support worker may work with you to set your own goals, develop your own peer support network, or develop your own strategies to support your longer-term recovery. This could include sharing information with you or connecting you with local services or groups based on your interests and preferences.

If you decide to join the mental health peer support group sessions, you will have the opportunity to hear from others about their journey with mental health and can choose to share your experiences and strategies too.
