We're excited to announce that we will be taking on the Rotherham 10k in aid of Age UK Rotherham on Sunday 14 May.

RUCST staff members will join runners from around the region taking to the streets in what is expected to be one of the biggest organised runs in South Yorkshire.

RUCST runners will be taking part in the race’s Corporate Cup Challenge with all money raised going towards fantastic local charity, Age UK Rotherham.

All money raised will go towards supporting older people from across the region to live later life better.

The RUCST Corporate Cup Challenge are now enjoying training and preparation ahead of race day.

Jamie Noble, Head of Community at RUCST, said: “We are delighted to be taking part in the Rotherham 10k in aid of Age UK Rotherham. They are an amazing charity that benefits a number of our participants, and we recognise that the work they do for our older community is life-changing.

“The Rotherham 10k is a fantastic event for the town and we are excited to be able to represent the RUCST on the day and take part in the Corporate Cup Challenge. We are also encouraging any local businesses to sign up to the team challenge as it’s a fun way to raise money for a charity that makes such a difference to local people.”

Barbara Dinsdale, Chief Executive Officer from Age UK Rotherham, said: “We would like to thank our friends at RUCST for signing up for the Corporate Cup Challenge on behalf of Age UK Rotherham.

“As a charity, we rely on donations and fundraising to maintain the work we do for older people across the Borough, helping them to live a healthy, happy and fulfilled life in their later years.

“We are also keen to recruit volunteers for the race day itself and for a few hours each evening in the week leading up to the event. Please e-mail Denise Caldecott on denise.caldecott@ageukrotherham.co.uk to register your interest in volunteering.”

The Rotherham 10k will take place at Clifton Park on Sunday 14 May and will start at 10am.

Organisers are still encouraging people to sign up to take part in both the 10k and the children’s one-mile Fun Run in the park. You can also sign up for the Corporate Cup Challenge by following the link.
