Wellbeing at Home

Wellbeing at Home is part of the WIN (Wellbeing & Independence Network) and focuses on providing a range of practical support in and around someone’s home environment, specifically supporting people who, without the service, are likely to struggle to remain living at home independently and safely.

To those that meet the criteria it provides free short-term practical support and / or help to people to organise longer-term arrangements. It is prioritised towards people who are overcoming acute or sudden changes in their circumstances.

It will include things such as shopping, maintaining and cleaning the home and gardening and also home safety checks, looking at warmth warmth of a house. It may also suggest the need for aids and adaptations which make a home easier and safer to live in as people’s needs change.

The services on offer are flexible and designed to suit each person that gets in contact, it includes:

- Handy Person Service
- Gardening
- Aids and adaptations (working with Stockport Homes)
- Decluttering and hoarding
- Short term shopping assistance
- Home and personal safety information
- Carers Support or individual support
- And more ….
