Run the 2027 Double TCS London Marathon for us!

We're delighted to announce that we have 15 guaranteed Age UK Wiltshire charity places in the 2027 Double TCS London Marathon! When you run for Age UK Wiltshire, you're running for your neighbours, grandparents, and the older people in your own community who need us the most. We're looking for 15 passionate and committed individuals who are ready to take on one of the world's most iconic races while helping us to support older people to stay safe, make informed choices and be independent yet connected.

Important service update: 

Our Information & Advice services will be closed to new enquiries between Monday 27th July – Friday 31st July 2026 inclusive.  This will allow us to respond to the high volume of existing enquiries and casework and complete essential training so we can continue to support people in the future. Other services we provide are not affected.

You can contact Age UK National advice line (0800 169 6565) for help with a wide range of queries including benefits, accessing social care and housing options.

Age UK Wiltshire | Headlines

We're delighted to share that Age UK Wiltshire has been awarded a £60,000 grant from the Postcode Community Trust, funded by players of People's Postcode Lottery.

This generous support means we can keep doing what matters most: supporting older people across Wiltshire and Swindon to live independently and stay connected to their communities. From our Information & Advice service, helping people access the benefits and support they're entitled to, to the social groups and activities that bring people together and ease loneliness, this funding will help us reach more people, in more places, when they need us.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to players of People's Postcode Lottery for making this possible. Your support helps us be there for older people in Wiltshire and Swindon, today and in the future.

Carers Together Wiltshire's first Annual Service Report is here!

We’re pleased to share the Carers Together Wiltshire Annual Service Report 2024/25, highlighting the partnership’s first year of supporting unpaid carers across Wiltshire.

Carers Together Wiltshire is a partnership between Age UK Wiltshire, Community First, Beyond Dementia, Wiltshire Service Users Network, Citizens Advice Wiltshire and Wessex Community Action.

Working with Forward Carers and Youth Action Wiltshire, the service has helped more than 1,100 carers access advice, guidance and practical support. The report showcases how local organisations are working together to build stronger, more carer-friendly communities.

Over State Pension age? Find out more about Pension Credit and the Winter Fuel Payment.

Pension Credit is an ever essential lifeline for many older people managing rising energy costs. It's important to check your Pension Credit eligibility as it can grant you access to additional financial support. 
 
The Winter Fuel Payment is an annual payment to help you with heating costs during the colder months. You must have reached State Pension age. Your Winter Fuel Payment will be recovered through the tax system if your taxable income is over £35,000.
