Break in at Age UK Bexley

Published on 10 June 2019 12:53 PM

Age UK Bexley is sad to report that their head office in Sidcup was broken into over the weekend. Whilst thankfully no one was in the office at the time, widespread damage occurred and vital equipment was broken and stolen.

This is devastating to us, as you know we work hard to improve the independence and wellbeing of older people in Bexley for whom crime can be a real fear. In the short term this has an impact, as our office has had to be closed, effecting our services based there and those clients who had appointments booked in with us.

Until advised otherwise please be aware our Information and Advice desk will remain closed, and all telephone calls suspended. Please bear with us whilst we repair the damage, replace the equipment and support staff and volunteers who were rightly upset by the situation they walked into this morning.

We hope to be back up and running shortly and as always we thank you for all your support.
