Age UK Bolton relaunch popular advice service

Published on 11 May 2022 02:42 PM

Age UK Bolton are pleased to announce the return of the Legal Advice service to its office at The Square in Bolton town centre. The service had been suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic but is now ready to be reinstated alongside the popular Will Making service.

The Legal Advice service is run in conjunction with the Bolton Law Society who will be providing fully qualified solicitors to offer free, confidential advice for half-hour sessions to Bolton’s over 50s.

The sessions will be held on Wednesday mornings every 4 weeks and will be offering advice on wills, probate and power of attorney issues. Business Support officer at Age UK Bolton, Declan Whorlow, has been coordinating the relaunch of the service and said:

“We are delighted to announce that we have reinstated the Legal Service at The Square. Before the suspension, due to the pandemic, the service has been much requested and has been missed by Bolton’s older people who were looking for legal advice. To have got back to being able to deliver these sessions every four weeks is brilliant and we look forward to being able to provide this crucial advice once again.”
