Get involved

Age UK Brent would not be able to function without the help of individuals and companies giving their time, skills and/or money to help older people. There are a range of ways you can help, some costing very little, if nothing at all.

Participate in a fundraising event for us

There are a variety of events you could organise to raise money for Age UK Brent, such as holding a dinner party/afternoon tea and asking for donations to Age UK Brent.  You can raise as little or as much as you like, from £1 to £1 million. We don’t have a fundraising team at the moment, so have limited support available to help you, however we would be happy to provide sponsorship forms and encourage you as much as we can.  However one idea you might consider is participating in a sponsored bike ride for us.

In 2016, Jackie James, our Befriending and Volunteering Manager, raised over £120 in sponsorship by undertaking the London to Windsor bike ride.  She did the 55 mile route, however there are shorter versions available, including a 29 mile child friendly version. She thoroughly enjoyed it. (photo if I can find it!)

The open cycling events via Bike Events in 2017 are the Tour de Tendring and London to Windsor Cycle rides.  You will not find Age UK Brent in the list of organisations, however can state that  you are supporting Age UK Brent further in the application process. To do this you will need to sign up for the ride using the links below and contact us for a sponsorship form. You pay a registration fee which pays for the event organisation.
