Age Better Bucks
For connection, independence and support
What is Age Better Bucks?
A free, short-term support service for older adults (65+) who want help to maintain their independence and wellbeing.
We’ll take time to understand your situation and what you’d like to change or improve. Together we’ll agree a simple plan and support you to take steps that help you feel more confident and in control, whether that’s getting out and about, reconnecting with others, building routines at home, or finding the right local services and activities.
How it works
We understand that everyone’s situation is different. That’s why we tailor support around what matters to you. Support may include:
- A conversation to understand what you need
We’ll talk through what’s going well, what’s worrying you, and what would make the biggest difference.
- A simple goals plan and practical next steps
We’ll agree a few realistic goals and actions, at your pace.
- Short-term support to help you make changes that stick
This may include check-ins and follow-up to see how things are going.
- Help to connect you to local support
We can signpost you to community groups, activities and services, and where appropriate help you access them.
