The Handyperson Service helps support you with DIY jobs around your home, for a fixed hourly rate. It is delivered by a DBS-checked, self-employed handyperson in your area.

How does the Handyperson Service work?

The Handyperson Service offers you access to a DBS-checked, self-employed handyperson in your area who can carry out a DIY task in your own home, for a fixed hourly rate.

The aim of the Handyperson Service is to enable older people in Buckinghamshire to remain in control of their home and their independence. This service is here for when you need a shelf or curtain rail putting up, installing a key safe, a toilet seat replacing or some flat-pack furniture put together. (all materials should be supplied by the client).

Jobs include
• Installing curtain poles and window blinds
• Build flat pack furniture
• Installing grab rails (this may not be possible into tiles)
• Wall hangings
• Small painting and decorating jobs
• Putting up Shelves

Note: The service is available to people over 55 who live within Buckinghamshire, excluding Milton Keynes. The handyperson service is not intended to provide complex or skilled labour solutions and does not replace qualified tradespeople.

Amersham, Aylesbury, Beaconsfield, Buckingham, Chesham, Flackwell Heath, Hazlemere, High Wycombe, Marlow, Penn, Princes Risborough, Stoke Mandeville, Wendover, Winslow, Wooburn Green
