How does the Handyperson Service work?
The Handyperson Service offers you access to a DBS-checked, self-employed handyperson in your area who can carry out a DIY task in your own home, for a fixed hourly rate.
The aim of the Handyperson Service is to enable older people in Buckinghamshire to remain in control of their home and their independence. This service is here for when you need a shelf or curtain rail putting up, a dripping tap fixed, a toilet seat replacing or some flat-pack furniture putting together.
The handyperson can help you feel safer in your home by installing key safes, door chains and window locks - and grab rails around the home so you can move around more confidently.
Note: The service is available to people over 55. The handyperson service is not intended to provide complex or skilled labour solutions and does not replace qualified tradespeople.
