Dementia is a disease that can affect us all, whether as a patient, family member or friend.

Kirklees Dementia Hub and Age UK C&K are trying to make the Kirklees more ‘dementia friendly’ by educating people about the disease and how, with a little understanding, we can help people to live well with dementia.

All the events at the awareness day are completely free and for anyone to attend – you do not have to be in the medical / caring profession or linked with someone who is living with dementia.

Dementia Conference

The Conference is being held at the Town Hall,  Market Square, Batley, WF17 5DA from 11am – 2pm.

There are expert speakers from the medical professions, support organisations and people who have 'lived experience' of caring for loved ones with dementia.

Dementia Friends sessionsNew dementia friends

The event will be running 4 Dementia Friends sessions throughout the day at Jo Cox House, designed to give people more understanding of dementia and to encourage positive action to help people live well with dementia.
