How we can help
We're a local charity working in the community to support older people, their families and carers. We want everyone to be able to love later life.
Can you help us raise money for our new electric minibus?
For many older people in the community, our services may be the only meaningful activity or interaction that they have, and transport is an essential piece that helps to make this possible.
Age UK Calderdale and Kirklees is a great place to work. Could you bring your skills to our team? We have a number of roles currently available across our organisation to suit a variety of skills. Please visit our 'Work for Us' page to learn more about our current vacancies and find the right role for you!
We rely on volunteers to help us offer vital services in the local community. Whether you're looking to gain some experience and build your CV, meet new people, or want to support the work we do in the community, there's an opportunity for you. Please visit our volunteer page for more information.
All of our services are LGBTQ+ inclusive. For more information, please see our LGBT+ page.
We give advice, information and general help to people aged 50+ on everything from welfare benefits, money matters, consumer issues, leisure activities and much more.
We have friendly centres across Kirklees and Halifax where older people can get together for a chat, lots of different activities and a hot and healthy midday meal. All our centres are fully accessible.
We sell a range of high quality mobility and living aids, from hand rails to stairlifts and our dedicated staff will take time to understand your needs and explain how things work.
