Age UK Camden is receiving funding from property firm JLL to help the Charity provide its vital services to support older people in the local area. The funding comes from JLL’s three-year partnership with Age UK, the national charity, which launched earlier this year.
The money being donated by JLL will help Age UK Camden to fund our services across 30 locations in the borough, such as our pioneering counselling services for clients over 55 that offer 8-12 weekly services through face-to-face, telephone or online meetings free of charge, providing invaluable support to the older population of Camden where mental health concerns have increased by 16% in the past year.
Age UK Camden’s services provide a lifeline to the older community, helping people like Nadia, who has dementia and visual impairment, to be able to express her vibrant personality actively and thrive in the safe, supportive environment at our Great Croft Day Centre.
Ross Diamond, CEO at Age UK Camden said: “We’re delighted to be receiving this donation from JLL to support older people in Camden. It’s thanks to funding like JLL’s that we’re able to continue helping older people in our area who are most in need.
“Our services help thousands of older people in Camden and we really couldn’t continue to do what we do without help like this.”
