Looking to bag a bargain, declutter your life or volunteer?

You can do all three at our charity shops at Age UK Cheshire.

About our shops

Our shops raise vital income that enables us to support local older people in Cheshire.

We currently have six charity shops in Cheshire, selling a variety of pre-loved items including clothes, books, toys and collectables. We also have two furniture shops in Northwich and Ellesmere Port.

Donations

Our shops rely on donations. We are always happy to receive good quality, clean, reusable items to our shops during shop opening hours or at Castle Community Centre, Barbers Lane, Northwich, CW8 1DT on Tuesday - Saturday, 10am - 4pm. We also have a collection service for large items of large furniture and house clearances.

Don't forget - if you are a UK tax payer and you gift aid your donations, we can claim an extra 25% back at no extra cost to you. This means that for every £1 we make from selling your items, we will get an extra 25p through Gift Aid!  So next time you drop off your donations, ask about Gift Aid!

For questions about donations to our shops, please call: 01606 305006

Volunteering at our shops

Our Age UK Cheshire Shops are powered by volunteers who donate their time and skills to help us raise money.

Would you like to be part of a friendly retail team? Do you enjoy meeting and talking to different people every day? Why not join us today? You can develop your retail and people skills or give something back with your skills, experience and knowledge, all while raising crucial funds to support local older people in Cheshire. Here are just some of the activities you will be involved in:

  • Contribute to a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for customers and volunteers
  • Help create eye-catching window displays
  • Operate the till and promote Gift Aid to donors
  • Accept donations
  • Prepare, steam and price donations for sale

Our shops rely on volunteers for sorting stock, creating interesting window displays, and attending to customers. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please visit our volunteering page and how to get in touch.

Thank you for your continuing support, we really appreciate it!
