Full job description:
Job Purpose:
To promote Age UK Doncaster’s diverse range of offers and support people with initial information and access to services. There will be a particular focus on the Keep in Mind Partnership, working with colleagues and partners to embed the service as part of the Doncaster Dementia Pathway.
The postholder will build and maintain a wealth of knowledge about support available across Doncaster, helping identify gaps in provision and opportunities to improve access. Ensuring appropriate information, messaging and communications are used across both community and digital channels will be key to helping people access the support they need at the right time.
Developing relationships and continuing regular engagement with key stakeholders, professionals, community organisations and partner services will increase awareness of available support and encourage referrals into vital services. This role will drive the promotion of Keep in Mind, partner initiatives, and broader support services through social media, digital communications, community engagement, and targeted marketing campaigns.
Main Duties
- Maintain a regular presence within locality places including GP practices, family hubs, care homes, hospitals, virtual wards, community venues, partner organisations and local businesses.
- Engage with partner services promoting the whole dementia pathway, ensuring people receive information and support at the right time.
- Develop, manage and maintain engaging content across digital channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and other appropriate platforms.
- Plan and deliver communications and awareness campaigns to increase visibility, accessibility and referrals into Keep in Mind and partner services.
- Create accessible and engaging content including social media posts, graphics, videos, stories, case studies, promotional materials and community updates.
- Work collaboratively with Keep in Mind partners and Age UK Doncaster colleagues to promote activities, events, services and opportunities.
- Support the promotion of wider services that may benefit clients and carers, helping improve awareness of support available across Doncaster.
- Capture life stories and lived experience from clients, carers and partners to demonstrate impact and inform service development.
- Facilitate focus groups and consultation activities with clients, partners and stakeholders.
- Embed within local communities to build trust, improve reach and identify localised needs.
- Promote services to men, LGBTQ+ communities and other groups who may be underutilising support.
- Develop positive working relationships with community organisations, professionals and stakeholders to improve awareness and referral pathways.
- Monitor engagement activity and digital communications performance, producing reports on KPI’s, monitoring data, case studies and outcomes.
- Contribute to the wider life of the charity in line with its vision, mission and values.
- Any other reasonable duties which may from time to time be required in line with the job purpose. This may include working evenings and weekends depending on events.
