Circles is flexible and designed so that almost anyone can volunteer. We want to make sure you get involved in a way that works for you! Are you nuts about knitting? A budding baker? An I.T wiz or happy talking history? Or are you simply interested in making a difference? We want to learn about you so we can match your interests with an older person experiencing loneliness.
Meeting up can be easily arranged around work and family. People typically offer 2 hours a week which can make a real difference to someone’s life!

Does this sound like you? Then you'd make a great Circle Volunteer
The number of hours we require you to give will depend on the role you choose and will be agreed with the Circle you support. Circle Volunteers typically commit to about 2 hours a week. However, Circles is dedicated to ensuring that the volunteer roles are as flexible as possible to accommodate volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds.
All Circle Volunteers must attend and induction sessions to cover items such as lone working, safeguarding, confidentiality, etc. The induction session usually takes around 2 hours. Induction sessions are regularly held twice a month, once on weekday afternoon and once on a weekday evening.
Our Commitment to you
We offer all our volunteers the same level of training and ongoing support. We will also cover all reasonable out of pocket expenses. For more information please visit our volunteering page.
