Information and Advice Adviser (x2 positions)

Part time hours 21 hours per week, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9.30am - 4.30pm or Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9.30am - 4.30pm

Salary: £19,253 per annum

Location: Greenford Community Centre, 170 Oldfield Lane South, Greenford UB6 9JS

Age UK Ealing is looking to recruit a knowledgeable, compassionate and motivated Information and Advice Adviser to join our Information & Advice team.

The role involves providing high-quality information, advice and practical support to older people, their carers and families across the London Borough of Ealing. You will assist clients by telephone and through face-to-face appointments, providing advice on welfare benefits and a range of issues affecting later life, helping people to access the support and services they need.

You will manage your own caseload, maintain accurate case records and ensure all administrative tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner. You will work to the Age UK National Information & Advice Quality Standard (QAS), ensuring advice is accurate, confidential and delivered to the highest professional standard.

About you

If you are passionate about supporting older people and have current knowledge and experience of welfare benefits, we would love to hear from you.

You will be able to work effectively as part of a small team while managing your own workload independently. You will have excellent communication and IT skills, experience of maintaining accurate records and the confidence to liaise with external organisations on behalf of clients. A good understanding of the issues affecting older people, together with a commitment to providing an outstanding advice service, is essential.
