PRESS RELEASE

AGE UK EAST GRINSTEAD AND DISTRICT APPOINT NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

AGE UK East Grinstead and District are delighted to announce the appointment of Bernadette Cox to the role of Chief Executive Officer, effective from 1 March 2023.

Bernadette’s appointment represents the continuing commitment of the charity to further develop and enhance the delivery of services for those in later life and to support the wider community.

In 2019 Age UK moved into new premises in Glen Vue, East Grinstead and the increased space and facilities available have enabled the charity to develop and expand plus support other charities and organisations who use the centre, creating a new Glen Vue Community Hub for the town and surrounding areas.

Bernadette Cox said, “I am thrilled to be joining Age UK East Grinstead at such an exciting time. I’m looking forward to working with the staff, volunteers and trustees to deliver the best outcomes for our members and the wider community.”

John Belsey Chairman Age UK Trustees, said “I am confident that in Bernadette, we have a CEO who is well placed to lead the charity in what is an increasingly complex, challenging and changing environment, to help Age UK at Glen Vue become a central and thriving hub at the heart of the town.”
