Age UK East London is proud to be an Investing in Volunteers (IiV) achiever, having been awarded the quality mark in 2022 for the first time. It shows that we value our volunteers and demonstrated our commitment to volunteering within the organisation.

Investing in Volunteers is the UK quality standard for all organisations involving volunteers. Investing in Volunteers aims to improve the quality of the volunteering experience for all volunteers and demonstrates that organisations value the enormous contribution made by their volunteers.

Denise Hayward, Chair of UKVF (the awarding body) said ‘UKVF is delighted to announce Age UK East London’s successful achievement of this Award, they have demonstrated a real commitment to volunteering and proven that their volunteer management policies and procedures meet nationally recognised standards.

We are extremely lucky to have amazing and loyal volunteers. Their support goes beyond the clients they have been helping. Our volunteers are the champions pioneering our services. They have been feeding back concerns and improvements, and have been working alongside us to ensure we are offering our community a high quality service.

This award goes to our volunteers. This is only the beginning of our volunteering development. This has given us insights into our current programme and we will strive to deliver more and better support that our volunteers need. Thank you again for sticking with us!
