JOB TITLE: Area Manager – Community and Recreational Centres

Based: Hastings, Hailsham or Lewes with frequent travel

Salary: £43,000

Hours: 35 hours per week

 Are you:

  • A strategic and operational leader.
  • Able to develop multiple centres through strong commercial awareness and operational excellence.
  • Wanting to make a real and lasting impact on the lives of older people in East Sussex

Do you have:

  • Strong understanding of managing community facing services in a leisure, wellbeing, hospitality or similar environment.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience, preferably in a multi-site environment.
  • A track record of budget management and delivering income targets.
  • Proven ability to successfully lead and manage change.
  • Experience of working within a membership based or customer led service model.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car

Age UK East Sussex requires an Area Manager to lead the development of the Charity’s Community and Recreation Centres. This is an exciting opportunity, leading our dedicated teams to evolve and operate the centres as sustainable, welcoming and inclusive community hubs.

The centres offer a range of activities, health and wellbeing classes and delicious food and form an important part of the communities in which they operate.
