JOB TITLE – Centre Manager, Lewes House of Friendship

  • Based: Lewes
  • Salary: £27,700
  • Hours: 30 hours per week

Are you:

  • An experienced manager working within leisure, sales or hospitality within a community setting.
  • A natural communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, confident in developing partnerships.
  • Knowledgeable and understanding of the issues that can impact on the health and wellbeing of older people.

Do you have:

  • Experience in delivering a great customer experience
  • A demonstrable track record of developing and managing a team
  • Confidence to market and expand a service
  • A commercial mindset to drive growth and income
  • Experience of working with volunteers

Age UK East Sussex are seeking a Centre Manager for the House of Friendship, our dedicated recreational centre for the over 50s, in the heart of Lewes.

The role will be to oversee the day to day management of the centre and your team, to drive its further development in terms of offer and reach, whilst optimising opportunities to maximise revenue.

This is a fantastic role for someone looking to build on the history and solid foundations of the centre, whilst being open to innovation and new opportunities to meet the needs of older people locally.
