I&A Volunteer Coordinator
JOB TITLE: Volunteer Coordinator – Information & Advice Outreach service
Based: Hastings, Lewes or Hailsham
Salary: £14 per hour
Hours: 17.5 per week

About the role:
Age UK East Sussex requires a Volunteer Coordinator for an exciting new role in a new Information & Advice Outreach service covering the whole of East Sussex.
In this role, you will:
Support the charity’s Information and Advice service by assisting in the recruitment, training, mentoring and supervising a team of volunteers
- Support older people across East Sussex with completion of online and paper-based application forms, including welfare benefits, in line with appropriate legislation and best practice
- Develop a regular calendar of manned drop in events, offering face to face appointments across the county
- Play a key part in the charity’s work to combat digital exclusion and reduce isolation
- Ensure activity is compliant and aligned to strategic goals
About You.
Are you:
- Committed to improving outcomes for older people?
- Customer focused with a passion for delivering a welcoming, inclusive and high-quality service?
- Professional, approachable and resilient, able to manage competing demands
Do you have:
- Knowledge and practical experience of UK welfare benefit application processes?
- Experience training, mentoring or supervising others (paid or voluntary)?
- Experience supporting others with benefit claims applications?
- Your own vehicle and a full UK driving licence?
