Age UK HHB continues to Support Harrow Residents with information, advice and practical help following SWiSH Contract Conclusion

From 30th September 2025, Age UK HHBs Support Wellbeing Information Service Harrow (SWiSH) contract will end. While we are not able to offer a full advice service to Harrow residents, Age UK HHB remains committed to supporting older people across the community and will continue to offer information and signposting for enquiries that do not meet the criteria of our services listed below.

Specialist Advice and Support Services

  • Home Sweet Home – This is for residents who are 50+. The service provides financial health checks and support with benefit applications. Information and advice on social care and aids and adaptations. Telephone: 020 8756 3040
  • Cadent Energy Advice – This for residents who are 18+, and are the energy bill payer. The service provides financial health checks and support with benefit applications. Information and advice on social care and aids and adaptations. Telephone: 020 8756 3040
  • Housing Support Service – A service supporting older private renters, 60+ and those threatened with homelessness. Telephone: 020 8589 0066

Community and Social Support for residents 65+

  • Good Neighbours Service – For support with occasional/one off-jobs e.g. posting/collecting letters and parcels, occasional shopping, prescriptions, short walks, support with IT. Visit: https://tinyurl.com/AgeUKHHB-GNS

  • Hospital Support – Age UKHHB Support Workers are based at Northwick Park and Hillingdon hospitals who share details of advice and information services, and can escort patients home from A&E or following an admission to a ward and once home will complete simple tasks, check there is food and milk, check the fridge for out of date food in the fridge or prepare a drink and light snack.
