Mayor Re-Opens Age UK HHB’s Refurbished Kingshill Charity Shop!

Our newly refurbished Kingshill shopin Hayes was officially re-opened on Saturday 9th August in a ceremony led by the Mayor of Hillingdon, Philip Corthorne. The event drew community members, police officers, and dedicated volunteers whose contributions made the reopening possible.

The highlight of the morning came as the Mayor cut the ribbon to inaugurate the refreshed premises. Shortly after, Elena, a long-serving volunteer, received her 25 Years Long Service Certificate and a bouquet of flowers in recognition of her invaluable support. Elena, clearly delighted by the gesture, was at the heart of the cheerful celebration.

The reopening of the shop is the result of collective hard work from the entire team, whose commitment ensured the store was ready and well-stocked for the occasion. Their efforts, along with generous donations from the public, helped make the day a success.

With the new signage in place and shelves replenished, the Kingshill shop is set to serve the community anew.

The reopening ceremony not only celebrated the physical transformation of the shop but also the enduring spirit of volunteerism and community support that defines Kingshill.
