Disabled Transport

The TaxiCard greatly reduced fares for taxi travel. This card is for those unable to use buses or trains because of long-term disability or injury.

The European Parking Badge is a disabled parking badge. The scheme gives on-street parking concessions to people who have severe mobility problems.

TfL have a travel mentoring scheme to help disabled Londoners with their travel plans.

Info about 60+ oyster:

If you're aged 60 or over and live in London you might be eligible for a 60+ London Oyster photocard.  A 60+ London Oyster photocard allows you to travel free on public transport in London from the age of 60 until you qualify for a Freedom Pass.

To be eligible for a 60+ Oyster photocard you must live in a London Borough and be aged 60 or over.

With a 60+ London Oyster photocard you'll be able to travel free on a bus, tube, tram, DLR, London Overground and most National Rail services in London.

Dial-a-Ride - 0343 222 7777

A pre-booked, wheelchair accessible, door-to-door minibus service for those who find it impossible to use ordinary transport. This service is charged per mile.

Harrow Community Transport - 020 8427 6619

This service offers volunteer car drivers who can take you beyond Harrow to London Hospitals or stations. There is a mileage charge.

National Express coach disounts

Anyone over 60 is automatically eligible for big discounts when they book tickets with National Express.

Senior Railcards

If you are over 60 then you could get a third off rail fares if you buy this card for £26 annually.

Disabled and reduced mobility Airport Guide

This guide produced by Parkat covers multiple accessibility issues at the airport. It has been created to help relieve some of the stress and worry which is very common among disabled persons when travelling through unfamiliar environments such as an airport.
