Our Warm Homes programme is designed to help you stay warm, healthy and comfortable throughout the cold winter months.
How the Warm Homes Programme can Assist you:
1. Help increase your income to pay for energy bills. We provide tailored support to help boost your income, making it easier to manage and pay your energy bills.
2. Help you make your home energy more efficient so you can stay warm in the winter. Our team offers guidance on how to make your home more energy-efficient, helping you stay warm during the winter while reducing costs.
Energy boost service
Our Energy Boost Service is dedicated to supporting anyone facing energy poverty. We offer personalised, one-on-one support, either over the phone or in person, to help you navigate these challenges. This includes assistance with filling out forms and connecting you to additional helpful services.
Home Energy Check
We’re pleased to let you know that the Warm Homes Programme is back this winter, funded by Age UK. From 1st October, clients can book a free 2-hour Home Energy Check with our HandyFix team.
What happens at the appointment?
- Our HandyFix team will complete an energy assessment form.
- They’ll provide tailored advice on how to keep homes warmer and healthier.
They can also fit simple energy-saving measures such as:
- Energy-saving light bulbs
- Radiator foils
- Draught excluders
Who is eligible?
- Clients must be 65+ and meet one or more of the following (all self-declared):
- On a low income (means-tested benefits or under £20,328 pa).
- Have a long-term health condition (e.g. cardiovascular issues, COPD, arthritis, dementia).
- Live in a ‘hard-to-heat’ home (solid walls, no loft insulation, block of flats, non-standard heating like LPG/oil, or EPC rating below C).
