Annual General Meeting
You're invited to our annual general meeting on 19th January, hosted by colleagues and our new CEO Chris Price!
Join us as we reflect on another impactful year at Age UK Lewisham & Southwark and as we look forward into 2026. There will be special guest speakers (to be announced), and a reception to follow - with a delicious curry cooked on site by our chef.
It may be blue Monday, but together we can spread some joy by reflecting on the meaningful difference we have made to the lives of local and older people.

Welcome to Age UK Lewisham and Southwark
We are a local, self-funded charity and we work hard to empower, connect and change the lives of older and vulnerable people across the boroughs.
Our team champion the rights and wellbeing of older and vulnerable people, ensuring that life is full of opportunity - and that ageing doesn’t impact our ability to live safely.
Please note that due to reduced staffing levels, our central telephone number will now be staffed from 10:00 till 16:00, Tuesday to Friday (the line is currently closed on Mondays). Outside of these times, please leave a message stating your name and phone number, and we will contact you as quickly as possible.
How we can help
Information & Advice
We offer free and confidential information and advice on matters such as help with benefits, housing, debt and community care. This is provided through our telephone advice line, appointments, drop ins and home visits.
Ageing Well Southwark
Ageing Well Southwark is a new co-ordinated service joining up existing providers to help older people and their carers discover and access all the different financial, social and practical support available to them in Southwark.
Healthy Living & Day Care
These services aim to improve physical and mental wellbeing, promote an active lifestyle and reduce isolation. Activities range from chair-based exercises, seated games and arts & crafts to swimming, Tai-Chi, skills learning and day trips.
Community Connections Lewisham
Community Connections Lewisham is a preventative social prescribing project, aiming to improve the health and wellbeing of vulnerable adults across the borough.
Happy Feet
Age UK Lewisham and Southwark provides a not-for-profit toenail cutting service called Happy Feet.
Handypersons
The Handyperson team can help with a wide range of small jobs to help older people and their carers live safely and independently at home.

Age UK Lewisham and Southwark also holds the Information & Advice Quality Programme (IAQP) which recognises the consistent, relevant and effective advice we provide to our clients.

Age UK Lewisham and Southwark has also achieved the Advice Quality Standards (AQS) recognising the high standard and quality of our Information and Advice service.
