New Strategy Launch

At the start of 2026, we carried out a survey campaign called "Listening Today, Shaping Tomorrow" across Lincolnshire, inviting customers, staff, stakeholders and the wider public to share their experiences, perspectives and priorities for the future. These insights directly informed the aims set out in this strategy. It ensures that our focus is not based on assumptions, but on the real voices of the people we serve and work alongside every day. We have developed these aims with care and ambition, as they were shaped by the people who know our communities best.
This strategy is about looking ahead with clarity, confidence and purpose. It helps us focus not only on what we do, but why we do it. It sets out the bigger picture of what we are trying to achieve for older people across Lincolnshire over the next four years. Our vision is to see a Lincolnshire where every older person can age well, be supported early and enabled to live independently in their community.
The strategy also creates accountability, giving our teams, trustees, funders, partners and our communities a clear understanding of our strategic aims, priorities and commitments. It allows us to measure progress and be transparent about our impact.
At our strategy launch event on 14 May, we welcomed customers, stakeholders, health and care professionals, local businesses and partners to hear more about our ambitions for the years ahead. The event provided an opportunity to share our strategic aims, reflect on the insight gathered through Listening Today, Shaping Tomorrow and begin conversations about how we can work together to achieve meaningful change across Lincolnshire. The enthusiasm, ideas and support shown on the day reinforced the importance of partnership in helping us deliver lasting impact for the people and communities we serve.
It also reflects the opportunities we have to innovate, collaborate and strengthen our impact. We want people to feel confident in this strategy because it's grounded in reality, informed by experience and driven by purpose.
This strategy is not simply a document, it is a shared commitment to the future of Age UK Lincolnshire and to helping people across Lincolnshire age well, remain independent and feel supported in their communities.
