Age UK London has launched its new Strategy 2026-2030, setting out our vision and priorities for the next five years. As London's independent voice for older people, this strategy builds on our strong track record of campaigning alongside older Londoners and sets out how we will increase our impact, strengthen partnerships and drive meaningful change across the capital.

Focused on tackling ageism, addressing poverty, empowering older Londoners and influencing decision makers, the strategy will guide our work as we strive to create a London where older people are valued, connected and able to thrive. Through evidence-based campaigning and collaboration with older Londoners, local Age UKs and partners across the city, we will continue to ensure that the voices of older people are heard and acted upon.

Age UK London Strategy 2026-2030

A Stronger Voice for Older Londoners

Age UK London is the capital's independent voice for older people. Our 2026-2030 strategy sets out how we will strengthen our impact, challenge inequality and ensure older Londoners are heard in the decisions that affect their lives.

Our Vision

A London where older people feel connected, valued and empowered, and where their voices are listened to and respected.

Working alongside older Londoners to campaign for change, tackle inequalities and improve life in London for current and future generations.

Empower Older Londoners

Support older Londoners to influence decisions, shape campaigns and drive change in their communities.

Build Stronger Partnerships

Work closely with borough Age UKs, community organisations, decision makers and partners across London.

Secure Our Future

Grow a sustainable organisation with the resources and funding needed to maximise our impact.

What Makes Us Different?

As London's only independent, pan-London charity dedicated to campaigning for older people, we bring together lived experience, local insight, evidence and influence to drive change across the capital. We do not deliver frontline services, giving us the freedom to challenge decision makers and focus on tackling the issues that matter most.

Success by 2030

By 2030, we will:

  • Have a stronger and more sustainable organisation.
  • Deliver campaigns that lead to tangible change.
  • Challenge ageism and improve attitudes towards ageing.
  • Amplify the voices of more older Londoners.
  • Strengthen partnerships across London's ageing sector.
  • Increase our influence with policymakers, local authorities and City Hall.
  • Help make London a more age-friendly city for everyone.

Together, we're working towards a London where every older person is valued, included and able to thrive. Read our strategy here.
