Ageing Well Clubs

two older people smilingFind out more about our Ageing Well clubs in North, Central and South Manchester and Wythenshawe.

Our Ageing Well clubs meet once a week in various locations across Manchester and aim to encourage the over 55s to try activities and make new friends. 

Activities range from chair-based exercise, art and craft, community projects and quizzes. Anyone over 55 can join us at a group or session. 

Here are just some of the meetings coming soon: 

  • Every Tuesday, 10am - 12pm. Alternate craft/painting/seated exercise at George Halstead Courth, 1A Station Road, Crumpsall. Cost £1 entrance plus 20p for tea/coffee and biscuits.
  • Every Wednesday, 10.15am. Miles Platting Plodders Walking Group. Come along and join us anytime for a free gentle health walk lasting approx 1 hour. We meet at either Trinity Methodist Church, Butler Street, Ancoats for a local walk or on Ring & Ride, OR Piccadilly Manchester (outside Nobles) to use the bus or tram to visit other parks around Manchester. There may be cost for travel and lunch on the days out.
  • Thursday 2 August 2012, 10am - 11.30am (and every following first Thursday in the month) - Coffee Morning with free refreshments at The Hard Rock Cafe, The Printworks, Manchester.   • Thursday 30 August 2012, 10.15am (and every following last Thursday in the month) - Monthly Travel Club have a day out to a place of local interest. The over 60s can use their bus pass for free or reduced travel. Meet at our head office, 24 Mount Street, Manchester, M2 3NN, next to the Midland Hotel.   • NEW! Starting Thursday 13 August, 12.30pm - 3.00pm (and every following second Thursday in the month) Tea Dance at St. George's Community Centre, Livesey Street, Ancoats. Costs £1 entrance which also covers refreshments and entry to the raffle.
  • Every Friday 2pm - 3.30pm. Dominoes at Apprentice Court, Caversham Drive, Harpurhey (opposite Harpurhey Shopping Centre). Costs £1 entrance plus 20p for tea/coffee and biscuits.
