Can you spare just a few of hours of your time each week to make a world of difference to an older person living in west Norfolk?
Age UK Norfolk desperately needs volunteers from west Norfolk for their Money Matters and Advocacy services, to support older people in the west of the county.
Our Money Matters service volunteers help older people to keep up with their household paperwork, such as dealing with letters from banks and landlords, form filling etc. For some older people, these tasks can become too much to cope with - our Money Matters volunteers help people take back control.
We are looking for people with a basic experience of handling household paperwork, who could spare time to help people to stay independent. 
Our Advocacy service volunteers help older people who feel unable speak up for themselves. Our Advocacy volunteers older people to assert their rights when decisions need to be made to affect their lives.
If you are a good listener and could help give a vulnerable older person a voice, we would like to hear from you. 
Last year our Money Matters and Advocacy volunteers made 3,487 visits to people across Norfolk in need of support. Our Money Matters service helped people accessing the service to deal with a combined total of £27,440 of personal debt.
Samantha Taylor, Age UK Norfolk’s Advocacy Manager, said, “Age UK Norfolk is truly a volunteer-led organisation. We simply would not be able to offer the support to older people we currently provide if it wasn’t for our skilled volunteers who generously donate their time, expertise and compassion.” 
Training is provided for both roles and expenses reimbursed.
