Registered Manager

Hours: 37 hours per week 
Rate of pay: £32,000 - £40,000 per annum
Location: Grays Fair Court

Due to restructure we are recruiting for the new post of Registered Manager.  The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the Housing with Care service, the residential Short Stay Unit and Day Service at Grays Fair Court in Costessey. The successful applicant will ensure that the care services comply with the Care Quality Commission outcomes, Saffron Housing Trust management agreement and the Norfolk County Council service level agreement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working in partnership with the senior management team, participating in the strategic development of the organisation and assisting with the identification and development of strategies for the planning and delivery of quality, innovative care services.
  • Ensuring the service meets, and indeed exceeds, the requirements of the Health & Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2010 and the Care Quality Commission guidance ‘Essential Standards of Quality & Safety’.
  • Leading, managing and monitoring a large staff team, including volunteers, providing support through staff management policies and procedures to ensure a well-informed, motivated and committed staff team.
  • Implementing and maintaining an effective quality assurance programme to promote high quality, best practice and continuous improvement of services.
  • Responsibility for managing and monitoring Health and Safety, including the condition of the building, fire safety, defects, and control of infection.

Deputy Manager - Short Stay Care

Hours: 37 hours per week 
Rate of pay: £23,000 - £24,500 per annum
Location: Grays Fair Court

Due to restructure we are recruiting for the new post of Deputy Manager for our Short Stay Care service.  The successful applicant will work closely with the Grays Fair Court Management Team, assisting with managing, monitoring and developing all services at Grays Fair Court. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working flexibly across all services at Grays Fair Court - Housing with Care, Short Stay Care, Day Services. To have a good working knowledge of all services and be able to assume day to day responsibility in the absence of the Registered Manager or Deputy Manager – Housing with Care.
  • Working collaboratively with Saffron Housing Trust in the management of the building.
  • Developing excellent working relationships with health and social care professionals and other external partners.
  • Supporting the Registered Manager ensuring the service meets the Care Quality Commission standards.
  • Coaching and mentoring staff in care skills and knowledge.
  • Taking responsibility for managing admissions to and discharges from the short stay residential care unit. Assess referrals against admission criteria and identify care needs and risks. 
  • Taking responsibility for Short Stay Care support and care planning, risk assessments, monitoring care practices, advising the team accordingly to ensure service users’ need are met at all times.

Bank staff are required to work flexibly to cover annual leave, sickness and staff training. The Staff Bank provides a flexible way of working which could lead to permanent hours within Age UK Norfolk.
