Age UK Northumberland’s Music Legends Summer Party Hits the Right Note

Age UK Northumberland brought music and friendship together at its recent Music Legends Summer Party, held at the Grand Hotel Gosforth Park, Newcastle.

The event welcomed guests from across the county for an afternoon of live entertainment, dancing, food and companionship, creating a vibrant atmosphere inspired by some of the world’s most iconic music stars.

Attendees embraced the theme by dressing up and celebrating legendary performers including Elvis Presley, David Bowie, The Beatles, Freddie Mercury and Dolly Parton. Lifesize cardboard cut-outs of the music icons proved especially popular, providing the perfect backdrop for photographs and adding to the fun-filled atmosphere throughout the afternoon.

Guests enjoyed a two-course grazing buffet, a complimentary glass of fizz on arrival and the chance to spend quality time socialising and making new friendships with others in a welcoming and supportive environment.

The event formed part of Age UK Northumberland’s ongoing work to support older people through social activities, friendship groups and community events designed to reduce loneliness and promote wellbeing.
