Older residents of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire were treated to a heartwarming day out, a memorable trip to Sherwood Observatory in Sutton-in-Ashfield. Departing from The Church of the Good Shepherd in Woodthorpe, the group enjoyed a guided tour of the observatory, a planetarium show, and a look through the site’s impressive telescope. The day also included a shared lunch and plenty of laughter thanks to a collaboration between AGE UK Nottingham & Nottinghamshire and Stagecoach. The initiative, aimed at enhancing the quality of life for older people, provided a unique opportunity to combat social isolation while fostering friendships, fun, and cherished memories.
