We are pleased to announce we are taking part for the first time in the Big Give Christmas Challenge. This December you can help Age UK Richmond raise vital funds to support older people and carers in the borough of Richmond upon Thames — helping them enhance their wellbeing, reduce loneliness and live independently and happily at home. Remember, Age UK Richmond is a local, independent charity dedicated exclusively to supporting older people and carers in the borough of Richmond upon Thames. When you donate to Age UK Richmond, every penny raised stays right here in Richmond upon Thames, supporting older people and their carers when they need us most.
About the Big Give
The Big Give is a UK-based fundraising initiative that uses match-funding to double donations. From 2nd to 9th December 2025, any online donation made via the Big Give platform to Age UK Richmond will be doubled, thanks to our generous pledgers and the Shanly Foundation. That means:
£20 becomes £40
£50 becomes £100
Plus, 25% Gift Aid for UK taxpayers
We’re aiming to raise £5,000, which will then be matched to £10,000 in total.
How you can help
2nd December to 9th December (midday) - Donate online via the Big Give platform during the campaign week to ensure your gift is doubled. The page will be open to accept donations from midday on Tuesday 2nd December.

Staff at our three wellbeing centres (Twickenham, Barnes and Whitton) will be available during the campaign week to assist with online donations if you need help.
If you prefer to give by cash or cheque, you’re welcome to — but please note these won’t be doubled. Please send your donations to Age UK Richmond, The White House Community Centre, 45 The Avenue, Hampton, TW12 3RN. Charity Reg No. 1084211.

Join us for a Christmas Wreath Making Workshop to support our Big Give Campaign.
Wednesday 3rd December, 7.30pm to 9.30pm at our Twickenham Wellbeing Centre.
Cost £25 for all materials, glass of fizz & minced pie, plus a donation of £30 to our Big Give Campaign to be made online on the night.
