Big Give
This year, Age UK Richmond Upon Thames is applying to take part in the Big Give Christmas Campaign 2025. We’re hoping to raise vital funds for our work supporting local older people.
Age UK Richmond Upon Thames is a local independent charity committed to supporting older people to overcome financial hardship, reduce isolation and loneliness, improve physical and emotional health and provide essential home services to increase independence.
Before the campaign begins, we need to build a match funding pot through commitments from key supporters - these are known as ‘Pledges’. A pledge plays a vital role: it not only helps us unlock potential match funding from a Big Give “Champion” (which could double the value of your pledge) but also becomes the match funding that will double public donations during the campaign week.
A few other points to note about pledges for the Big Give:
- The minimum pledge is £100, and funds are only collected after the campaign ends.
- The fulfilment of a pledge is conditional on us receiving the appropriate online donations during the campaign. You will only be required to pay a pro-rata amount of your pledge if we don’t hit our online target - it's our guarantee to you that we are committed to raising additional donations.
- If you make a pledge to Age UK Richmond, you won’t be able to donate online during the campaign week, as your pledge will be used to match those donations.
