My Story

I'm running the London Marathon – all 26.2 miles – to raise money for Age UK Richmond Upon Thames and I would be very grateful for your support.

A milestone birthday, new beginnings and because 'growing older is a privilege denied to many’.

In November 2024 I took the leap from 20+ years in the NHS to working at Age UK Richmond Upon Thames, joining a team of people to achieve the VISION that all older people in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames live their best later life.

OUR MISSION

Is to support, empower and connect older people in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, to enable them to live fulfilling, healthy and independent later lives. Age UK Richmond Upon Thames provide wellbeing services, benefit advice, a home from hospital service, home services, dementia friendly services, mental health peer support and connect to tech.

It is such a privilege to have spent over half my life working with older people, in roles that support, care and offer guidance.

The experience, wisdom and the unique perspective gained from navigating historical events and decades of life is something to be nurtured.

Every little helps 😃 Thank you 🤩
