Stockport Adult Autism drop-in

Published on 10 October 2025 08:27 AM

On Thursday 23rd October, Imelda from Adult Autism Team within Stockport Adult Social Care, will be visiting the Age UK Stockport hub.

Imelda's role is working throughout the local community meeting neurodivergent adults through appointments and drop-ins, listening to their concerns and barriers. She helps through signposting and sharing information and making referrals. Imelda also feeds back the issues to the strategic lead for Autism, Cheryl Knupfer who will plan how they respond and help towards improving the lived experiences of adults across Stockport.
The Adult Autism team are developing their age 16+ offer and have produced a recent guide and also have our Padlet which lists lots of local resources, training and events.

Stockport's Adult Autism team are keen to engage with neurodivergent older adults and listen to their vast experiences, good and bad, to continually feed into the strategy which will help share future services and raise awareness and make the journey of life a more accessible and inclusive experience.

If this is something you wish to come and find out more about, please come along to The Hub on Thursday 23rd October 10am - 2pm.
