Financial services firm Together is inviting older people in the local community to enjoy an exclusive afternoon of festive fun at its Cheadle office.

Together to bring Christmas cheer to local elderly

Over 140 guests from the local area will be treated to a complimentary three-course lunch, complete with mince pies, sherry and carols, following the success of last year’s inaugural event (pictured).

The lunch will take place on Friday 16th December and, as well as the traditional Christmas feast, there will be carols from the company’s award-winning corporate choir and entertainment from a Vera Lynn style performer.

Together’s HR director Kevin Fisher said: “We’re committed to supporting our local community and last year’s lunch was a great success, so we’re delighted to be running this event again. It’s aimed at those aged 65 or over who may not have friends or family close by to celebrate with, to bring a little festive cheer.  It also offers a great opportunity for the guests to meet new friends from the local area and is a fantastic afternoon.

“Our colleagues here love to get involved, including our executive team who lend a hand on the day, so it’s a wonderful celebration and a great chance for us to give something back.”

There is no cost for guests to attend and is the invitation is open to those living locally to the company’s headquarters on Cheadle Royal Business Park. Transport can be provided with various local pick-up points being arranged.

Those wishing to attend must register their interest by contacting Sarah Niblock on 0161 956 3255 or email sarah.niblock@togethermoney.com. Attendance is subject to availability.

Together has a dedicated initiative to support the local community called ‘Let’s Get Caring’, and hosts a variety of events throughout the year.
