Calling All Knitters - Get Your Needles at the Ready for The Big Knit 2026 - 27

Age UK Sutton has received word that The Big Knit, the much-loved national partnership between Innocent Drinks and Age UK, is back for 2026/2027!

While the official ‘Call to Knit’ will launch in October 2026, we’re keen to start building momentum early, so we can meet, and hopefully surpass, the number of hats we knitted last time - over 3000!

We’re inviting knitters of all ages and abilities from across the borough to be part of this great campaign, helping us support older people in our community - one tiny hat at a time.

Whether you’re part of a knitting group, a solo knitter, a community group, or someone who wants to pick up needles for the first time, we would love you to be involved.

Small Hats, Big Difference

Each tiny woolly hat knitted will one day sit on top of an Innocent Smoothie bottle helping to generate a 30p donation to Age UK Sutton. So, whether you knit one hat or a hundred, you can be sure your efforts are making a real difference to supporting older people here in Sutton.
