Grand Opening of our new Day Centre

Last week, we officially opened the recently developed Gywnneth Morgan Centre with a visit from the Mayor of Wandsworth.

Our opening took place on an ordinary day as services went on as usual. This included one of our coffee mornings, and upstairs in our IT suite, Digipals, as volunteers offered support to older people seeking help with technical issues. In our activity room, we also had ‘Sit Down Get Down’, our seated exercise class for those that love music, movement and socialising.

In the social room, a small group of visitors and clients had something to eat and chatted with one another before Mayor Richard Field made a speech commending the ‘spirit of co-operation’. He cut the ribbon and unveiled a new plaque, declaring the Day Centre officially open!

We look forward to using the space to continue our already established services.
