Starting during South Asian Heritage Month, this new 8-week creative health programme invites older South Asian residents in Wandsworth to explore memory, storytelling, and movement together in a welcoming group setting.

Through conversation, music, photographs, and personal objects, participants will share stories from different stages of their lives — from family and celebrations to migration, community, and home. Working with a movement facilitator, these memories will be translated into accessible movement inspired by South Asian traditions, including Bollywood, folk, and classical forms. No dance experience is needed, and all movement can be adapted for seated or standing participation.

Age UK Wandsworth is delivering this Wandsworth London Borough of Culture project in partnership with Happy Homes Community and Wandsworth Asian Women’s Association, with support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Start Date: 28/07/2026 | Running every other Tuesday, 11.00am - 12.30pm

Location: Wandsworth Asian Women's Association, Mantle Court, Mapleton Road, SW18 4AU.

If you would like to attend this project, please email outreach@ageukwandsworth.org.uk. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Participation is completely free of charge.
