The organisation
We are a locally focused charity with over 100 staff and volunteers across Birmingham and Sandwell. We provide services and support to people aged 50+, enabling, empowering, and encouraging them to enrich their lives and live independently. We are looking to grow and expand to reach more older people in Birmingham and surrounding areas.

The opportunity
This is a forward thinking, energetic role for someone passionate about delivering high-quality service to older people. We’re looking for a creative and strategic Social Media and Marketing Officer to join our passionate team.

As a Social Media and Marketing Officer, you will be responsible for creating, curating, and managing content across digital platforms to increase awareness, drive engagement, and support our goals. You will play a key role in shaping our online voice and building a strong digital presence.

This is a chance to work with a fantastic staff team and wider community of people.

The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will be creative and proactive, with a passion for digital storytelling. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and confident taking ownership of projects from concept to execution.

You’ll be a confident communicator and a natural content creator, passionate about all things social media and marketing. You understand how to balance creativity with strategic thinking, and you’re just as comfortable analysing data and drawing
actionable insights as you are brainstorming your next big idea.
Highly self-motivated and organised, you manage deadlines effectively and thrive whether working independently or as part of a collaborative team. You’re naturally curious, adaptable, and always eager to stay ahead of the latest digital trends and
tools.

How to apply
Send your CV and covering letter (no more than 2 pages) outlining your skills and experience in relation to the Job Description and Person Specification, addressing the essential criteria.

Applications can be sent to: jobs@ageukbirmingham.org.uk.
