The Neighbourhood Network Scheme is a community project that aims to help people who are 50+ beat loneliness and isolation.

Each constituency in Birmingham has an organisation leading on the project, in Edgbaston Constituency it is Age UK Birmingham working in partnership with Gateway Family Services. The goal of the Neighbourhood Network Scheme (NNS for short) is to develop and support activities for older adults (people aged 50+) and adults aged between 18 and 49 living with additional needs. The goal of this is to ensure that citizens across Birmingham have activities on their doorstep which help them connect to their communities and lead independent, happy and healthy lives. We also work closely with local Social Work teams to help them access local services and activities for the people they support.
