Congratulations to Lauren McKechnie, Chief Executive of Age UK Bolton, who will receive a British Citizen Award Medal of Honour in recognition of her outstanding contribution to charity and voluntary services, including both her executive leadership of Age UK Bolton and her wider impact across the voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector.
Paul Farmer, Chief Executive at Age UK said:
“Many congratulations to Lauren for this recognition of dedicated leadership and support to communities in Bolton and beyond.
“Lauren has strategically led Age UK Bolton through organisational growth and developed services for older people, and champions collaborative, people focussed approaches and initiatives right across the Age UK Network.”
Lauren McKechnie, CEO of Age UK Bolton, said:
“I’m incredibly honoured by this recognition, but I see it very much as a reflection of the people and teams I’m privileged to work alongside. This work is always a team game — built on trust, shared values, and a collective ambition for people and place. I’m grateful to operate in systems where there is such a strong sense of purpose and possibility.”
Lauren will be formally presented with her Medal of Honour at a ceremony in London on Wednesday 22 January.
