Age UK Camden changed my life in ways I never expected

A friend suggested Anita contact us after she received a gas and electricity bill for thousands of pounds, which she was unable to pay. We helped her with the bill and six years later, it’s Anita who tells her friends to come to Age UK Camden if they ever have a problem.

Anita said: “I was not capable of paying the bill and it was affecting my sleep, I felt like I wanted to scream. Age UK Camden contacted the company and the fee was written off. They also helped me move to a new supplier and now I’m on a great deal. I feel like I can finally relax. It’s the best charity I’ve come across."

Anita now always comes to the monthly coffee mornings at Tavis House. She said: “It feels like family here, I am always welcome. My life has changed since I came to Age UK Camden, it started with my bill and now they have helped me with lots of things.”
