Dementia support
OUR DAY CLUB IS CURRENTLY SUSPENDED BUT WE ARE CURRENTLY OPERATING A REMOTE SUPPORT SERVICE - MORE INFORMATION AVAILABLE HERE
We offer a support service for people living with dementia and memory problems from our specially designed centre in Macclesfield. We provide a high level of support and a number of activities for service users, as well as providing all important respite for carers.

Help at Home
Our specially selected and well-motivated home helpers are trained to take on the tasks you can’t or don’t want to do yourself. From cleaning to shopping or preparing a light lunch to sharing an interest Help at Home is there for you.

Information and Advice
We can help you with all manner of queries, from benefits advice, housing matters or disputes with companies, we’re happy to help in any way we can.

Telephone Befriending
Sometimes we all need to hear a friendly voice at the other end of the phone. We offer two telephone befriending services, a local one based in Cheshire East, or a national service operated by colleagues at Age UK

Older Persons Scams Awareness & Aftercare
Our project aims to raise awareness in our community about the dangers of scams and doorstep crime, as well as supporting older victims of scams

Men in Sheds
Our Men in Sheds project in Congleton is open to any fella over the age of 50, who wants to try their hand at a bit of woodworking, as well as socialising with like minded men in our friendly shed

Veterans Keep in Touch
Veterans Keep in Touch is our new befriending service, linking older veterans who may not get the opportunity for a regular friendly chat, with one of our telephone volunteers.

Counselling
Counselling allows you to take time out each week and talk to a trained listener in confidence about feelings or problems that you find difficult to discuss with a friend or relative.

Dementia Awareness
At Age UK Cheshire East, we are passionate about helping support people living with dementia, together with their families and carers. As part of that role, we are proud to be able to offer to local organisations, schools, businesses and partners Dementia Friends Awareness sessions.
