Do you need help at home?

Published on 17 February 2021 11:25 AM

We can help with our brand-new Practical Assistance Project which provides FREE home support to clients and their carers.

As part of this project, we have employed fully trained Home Support Workers who can provide you with practical, person-centred support that will help to improve your wellbeing and independence, creating a four-week support plan tailored to help you. Please note that this does not include personal care.

Am I eligible for Age Cymru West Glamorgan’s free home support?

Are you over 50, living with dementia, or an unpaid carer? You’re most likely eligible for our FREE support! See below for a full list of the projects wide ranging criteria:

  • Be 50+ and the primary carer for another person (regardless of age)
  • Be 50+ living with a health issue or a disability (mental or physical)
  • Be the primary unpaid carer for a person aged 50+
  • Be 50+ and recently discharged from hospital
  • Living with Early-stage Dementia

What home support services are available to me?

We promise that we will work with you to tailor a plan that supports your individual needs.

Do you need help cleaning the house? Help completing administrative tasks? Or do you need someone to prepare and cook meals? We can help! Are you an unpaid carer and need some time for yourself? As part of this project, we can also offer sitting services and even accompanied short activities (e.g. walking) for the person you care for.

If you would like help with anything not already mentioned, please don’t hesitate to contact us to find out more.
