We are seeking to fill a new post to help mobilise an exciting new service. This role will support the development of volunteer delivered Macmillan Community Information Outreach Services and to build the awareness of people living with and affected by cancer.  

Key elements:

  • Role Name: Macmillan Community Information Services Support Worker
  • Location: Eastbourne Community Info Hub and Home Based
  • Hours: 17.5 hours per week spread over 3 days as agreed with applicant
  • Salary: £16.36 per hour (£14,887.60 per annum)

Are you:

  • Confident marketing a new service
  • Empathetic to the issues associated with living with cancer
  • Experienced at developing networks and partnerships
  • Able to work on your own initiative
  • A great communicator with excellent interpersonal skills

Do you have:

  • Experience of delivering services with clear contract targets
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Confidence to market and expand a new service
  • Knowledge of cancer support within the community
  • Some experience of working with volunteers

Interviews are planned to be held at Faraday House, Hampden Park, Eastbourne on 10th March 2026.
