Age UK Enfield provides a range of supportive services for people living with dementia from diagnosis and are funded by NCL ICB to support people who are newly diagnosed with dementia. We work closely with Enfield Memory Service and North Middlesex University Hospital Trust to ensure everyone is able to access our service.

We accept referrals from all sources, including self referrals. Enfield Memory Service will refer you directly our Health and Wellbeing Navigators at Age UK Enfield when you are diagnosed. Our aim is to ensure people have timely information, advice and support following a diagnosis of dementia.

What We Do

Health and Wellbeing Navigators can work with you, one to one and can help by:
- helping you understand and manage your diagnosis
- help you to build coping strategies
- help to obtain welfare benefits and travel concessions
- help with planning for later life (information regarding Last Power of Attorney, wills and advanced statements)
- help to access assistance from other organisations
- understanding assisted technology options
- referring to other relevant services and sources of support - eg occupational therapy, fire safety visits and much more
- connect you to others via different support/social groups

This list is not exhaustive so please tell your Navigator what might help you during this time.
