Laura Hobbs

Laura is an NHS Director with over 20 years of experience working across the Devon healthcare system.

She moved to Devon from Buckinghamshire in 1998 to study at the University of Plymouth. Following completion of her degree, Laura joined the NHS in 2002 in the Workforce Development Confederation and since then has worked in primary care, acute and mental health/learning disability trust roles within service planning, service improvement, workforce, organisational development and project management.

In 2010, Laura took the leadership role for CQC Compliance and in 2017 also took the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion portfolio for the Trust, working to ensure that services are compliant with regulatory standards as well as reaching the range of diverse communities within Devon needing specialist mental health and learning disability services. In 2020, Laura was appointed as Director of Corporate Affairs for Devon Partnership NHS Trust carrying a portfolio stretching across corporate governance, regulatory compliance, equality, diversity and inclusion, performance assurance, and is also the Executive Lead for the Trust’s charity.

Laura has significant healthcare experience in transformational change, engagement and involvement, policy development, quality and safety, compliance and regulation, governance, and inclusion.
